The Book of Remembrance will be in the Narthex the weekend of October 31/November 1 in preparation for the Mass of Remembrance at 7 pm on Tuesday, November 3. All are invited to write the names of your deceased loved ones to be prayed for at Mass. You are also invited to leave framed photos of them on the table (please include the name of the deceased along with your name on the back of each photo). We will leave the book and the pictures on display throughout the first week of November. [Please don’t forget to retrieve your photograph(s) November 8.]
Invitations have been sent to those families who buried a loved one at St. James, but the Mass is open to all parishioners. In this season of remembering all the souls of the Faithful departed, may we grow in our Spiritual Work of Mercy to pray for our beloved dead, as they continue to pray for us. We also remember in a special way the Holy Souls in Purgatory, who have no one to pray for them.
