The St. James Religious Education Program and St. James School provide formation for our children preparing for the Sacraments of First Reconcilation and First Eucharist. Parents are also included in formation opportunities that enable them to share the journey to the Sacraments with their children.

To receive the Sacraments for the first time, the student must attend a two year formation program, which typically begins in 1st grade. Each student MUST also meet the following mandatory requirements:

  • Provide documented Baptism in the Catholic Church
  • Satisfactorily complete the two year formation program
  • Participate, along with a parent, in the First Holy Eucharist retreat
