Congratulations! We are so excited for you as you discern entering into this beautiful sacrament with your beloved. Please note as you begin to plan your wedding:

  • St. James the Apostle cannot guarantee the availability of any date for a wedding. Please check with us before booking your venue! We want to avoid any unpleasant surprises around date availability after the venue has been booked.
  • Diocesan policy requires that you contact our parish at least six months before your wedding date in order to begin marriage preparation. We would prefer that you contact us at least nine months prior to your proposed wedding date, to give sufficient time for marriage preparation, and to increase the likelihood that your preferred date will be available. Ideally, contact us as soon as you get engaged, and we can then go through the whole process in a leisurely, peaceful, prayerful manner.
