Last week, St. James welcomed four young adults to our parish who are part of the Joliet Diocese Totus Tuus catechetical youth program, a week-long “parish mission” for Catholic youth entering grades 1st through 12th. It is dedicated to the proclamation of the Gospel and promoting the Catholic faith through evangelization, catechesis, apologetics, Christian witness, the sacraments, Marian devotion, and Eucharistic worship. As you can see, the participants had an amazing week of fun and faith. Much thanks the families who hosted the team—The Tomczaks and the Witorts, as well as those who stepped in to help with various parts of the week. We are also grateful to our pastor, Fr. David Hankus and to the diocesan Vocations Director, Fr. Steven Borello who together made it possible for the kids to attend Mass everyday, celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation and experience Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.
