This Sunday we celebrate the Fourth Sunday of Advent

Today’s Readings:

Reflections for this Sunday’s Readings:

2 Samuel 7:1-5, 8b-12, 14a, 16.  Psalm 89:2-3, 4-5, 27, 29.  Romans 16:25-27.  Luke 1:26-38.

How Can This Be?

Words of a visiting angel: Do not be afraid; God has this plan; you are full of grace. Mary speaks aloud what we all are thinking: “How can this be?” God makes it possible because God makes us holy!

What should I stop fearing?

What is God’s plan for me just for this day?

What will I do this week as God’s holy person that benefits someone else

You are invited to download and print the Order of Service and Father David’s Homily found below to follow along and participate in this weekend’s Mass.

Celebrating Christmas at St. James the Apostle

To find out more about how you can participate in Mass for Christmas at St. James, please visit our Celebrating Christmas at St. James the Apostle webpage:

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we strive to find creative means by which to celebrate Christmas within the limitations of capacity, available volunteers as well as diocesan and CDC directives.

We Invite You to Visit Our Nativity Scene and the Blessed Sacrament this Christmas Season

This year our Nativity Scene will be set up outside the entranceway of the church so that all may drive by and enjoy it from their car. In addition, the tabernacle remains just inside the doors of the church. We invite you and your family to visit during the Christmas Season to say a prayer before the Nativity Scene and the Blessed Sacrament.

May the remaining days of Advent find you waiting in joyful hope for the coming of our Savior.
