Merry Christmas!

Thank you to all who joined us for our celebration of Christmas–whether you braved the cold to attend one of our Parking Lot Masses, joined us indoors or watched online, we are blessed by your desire to celebrate Christ’s birth!

As we continue our celebration of the Christmas season, may Love Incarnate make Himself known to us in the unique circumstances which surround each one of us this year.

Thank you to our Volunteers!

Without all of the volunteers who showed up to serve at our Indoor and Parking Lot Masses, we could not have gathered together this Christmas. We thank them for their selfless service to their fellow parishioners so that we could celebrate together. Truly, they are a blessing to our faith community!

This Sunday we celebrate the Feast of the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph

Today’s Readings:

Reflections for this Sunday’s Readings:

This Child

Every parent knows a child is a blessing who is filled with innocence and wonder and grace. Grandparents know this, too, perhaps in renewed and deeper ways. It is their hope that every child will grow strong, be wise, and be favored.

  • How will I care for a child today even if not related to me?
  • How can I help children be holy?
  • How will I be holy because of the blessedness of children?

You are invited to download and print the Order of Service and Father David’s Homily found below to follow along and participate in this weekend’s Mass.

Consecration to the Holy Family at all Masses this Weekend

To celebrate the Feast of the Holy Family this weekend, the Knights of Columbus, Council #9806 of St. James the Apostle Parish is sponsoring a special prayer at each of the Masses.

After Communion at each Mass families will be invited to pray the special prayer led by the celebrant. In this prayer, each family of the parish consecrates themselves to the Holy Family and devotes themselves to the ideal model of familial love set by Jesus, Mary, and Joseph. Through this consecration, each participant is consciously choosing to be a beacon of God’s love through His Church. We hope you will join us in praying this prayer on the Feast of the Holy Family.
