We celebrate the First Sunday of Advent on Sunday, December 1st. It can be quite difficult in the midst of this busy season to carve out time to enter into the Season of Advent and prepare spiritually to allow Jesus to be born anew into our hearts this Christmas. Below you will find some Advent Resources to help:

The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops have an entire web page with a myriad of resources from a daily Advent Calendar, a prayer of blessing for an Advent Wreath to Lectio Divina for Advent. Visit their website here: http://www.usccb.org/prayer-and-worship/liturgical-year/advent/

Dynamic Catholic is once again offering their daily Advent program, Best Advent Ever. Sign up at their website to receive daily video reflections in your email inbox: https://dynamiccatholic.com/best-advent-ever

IgnatianSpirituality.com offers an online Advent Retreat, weekly video reflections and podcasts. Visit their website here: https://www.ignatianspirituality.com/advent/

In addition, St. James has some Advent Resources available for your journey, including the Little Blue Book with daily reflections, the Word Among Us, printed calendars and prayers. Please visit our Liturgical Kiosk in the narthex or our Information Rack in the Coat Room and help yourself to these resources.
