This past weekend we welcomed Fr. Tom Cargo to St. James the Apostle Parish. Fr. Tom is a retired priest of the Diocese of Joliet who is assigned to our parish to help us. He will join us now and will stay with us during the time our pastor Fr. Keith Wolfe is deployed in service as a Military Chaplain for the United States Navy from mid-October until August of 2023.
Father Tom is a native of Wheaton and served in the Diocese of Joliet for many years before his retirement in 2021. Before joining our diocese, he served as a Vincentian priest in the West and Southwest.
You will begin to see Fr. Tom at many of our Masses serving in his current capacity as Senior Priest. Once Fr. Keith is deployed, Fr. Tom will serve as our Parish Administrator. If you haven’t had a chance to meet Father, please be sure to introduce yourself after Mass.
