Dear Parishioners,

The members of the St. James Parish have been most generous to the Glen Ellyn Food Pantry (GEFP). Historically, you have gifted hundreds of pounds of canned goods, grocery essentials and personal care items as well as generous monetary contributions.

Our parish commits to two GEFP fundraisers each year and we are embarking on the August Campaign. Of significant importance is the timing of this particular event: Back to School—and the needs associated with it, and an economic environment that is stretching all of us, especially those most in need. These families have to make decisions between purchasing food and gasoline and educational necessities. Your help to ease this burden is SO greatly appreciated!

Please keep these thoughts in mind as you read the Sunday bulletin and Flocknotes and see posters in the narthex requesting your vital contributions during the month of August.

Non-perishable donations may be dropped off in the parish Coat Room when we are open for Masses. To donate perishable goods, please visit the website for pantry hours and more: https://www.glenellynfoodpantry.org/

With sincere gratitude and blessings for your assistance,

Christine Bollettino
