Today we celebrate our patron saint, St. James the Lesser. He shares this feast day with St. Philip.
James was an apostle and a cousin of Jesus through his mother’s lineage, as she herself was a cousin of the Blessed Mother. James was considered a pillar of the Early Christian Church and died the death of a martyr.
