More than 2,000 years ago, Jesus fasted in the desert for 40 days & 40 nights according to the Gospels. Today, many of our neighbors are at risk of hunger and fasting is not a choice.

To celebrate the season of Lent, we invite you to set aside one of the pantry’s most needed grocery items from the list found on the downloadable flyer or from the Weekly Top Needs list printed in the bulletin.

This is an effort to join together the annual St. James the Apostle Knights of Columbus 40 Cans for Lent Collection and our bi-annual Food Collection Month for the Glen Ellyn Food Pantry.

Donations may be dropped off all throughout Lent in our parish Coat Room when the church is open on weekdays and weekends, immediately before or after Masses.

More Ways to Give: If you prefer to make a tax-deductible donation, here are some options as to how to do just that:

1) Utilize one of our envelopes located on the posters in the church narthex to mail in a donation.

2) Visit GlenEllynFoodPantry.org to make your tax-deductible donation online.

3) Use your phone camera to access the donation site with our QR code which is printed on the downloadable flyer.
