Rather than waiting until a priest retires or is transferred to express our gratitude for their service to our parish community, we invite all parishioners to take a minute to write a quick note of appreciation to our priests in honor of Priesthood Sunday which will be celebrated next Sunday. Your note doesn’t need to be eloquent or long, but we invite you to share maybe a simple reason how their ministry has blessed you.
On behalf of the parish, the Knights of Columbus will be sponsoring this event. They will have baskets located in the narthex where you may drop off a note of appreciation to our Pastor, Father David Hankus, our Pastor Emeritus, Fr. John Sebahar or any of the priests who regularly assist our parish including, Fr. Steven Borello, Fr. Larry Brunette, Fr. Bill Cullen and Fr. Bill Donnelly. If you aren’t attending public worship at this time, you may mail any notes to the Ministry Center, 480 S. Park Blvd., Glen Ellyn, IL 60137 and we will be sure to deliver them to the priests.
In addition, the Knights will be passing out prayer cards this weekend, so that we will remember to pray for our priest regularly. Thank you for sharing your love with our priests who have given their lives in service of us, both in the joyous and sorrowful moments of our lives.
