Francis of Assisi was the son of a wealthy cloth merchant in Italy. Although Francis could have lived his life with fine clothes and great wealth and power, he heard God’s call and chose a simple life, following the example of Christ. Francis had an understanding of the unity of all creation that was well ahead of its time. He was considered a peacemaker, treated everything with reverence and allowed the beauty of creation to fill him with joy. The Church has designated Thursday, October 4th as the day to celebrate the memorial of St. Francis of Assisi.

Come join us in celebrating this great saint by bringing your special animal(s) to our Pet Blessing on the Ministry Center lawn at 2 P.M. All are asked to practice social distancing.
