St. James Food Drive this Weekend
Looking for a safe way to help people in need during the Covid-19 Pandemic? St. James is running a food drive drop off THIS WEEKEND for non-perishable food items to benefit clients of the Glen Ellyn Food Pantry.
When: Saturday and Sunday June 13 and 14 from 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M.
Where: Outside at St James Door 10
What: Bring non-perishable food item donations.
Consider buying and donating what you would purchase for a week’s worth of groceries to those in need! But any amount of groceries will help!
Gifts of monetary donations will also be accepted. Checks should be made payable to the Glen Ellyn Food Pantry and brought during collection hours. Be sure that your name and address is on the check, and the pantry will send an acknowledgement for tax purposes.
Want to Help with the Food Drive?
If you are interested in giving your time to this effort this weekend, please call Ray Klein to volunteer at 630-858-1237. He will set up a time slot for you to help since we will be respecting social distancing guidelines, and it will be important to spread out our volunteer times. Please note that all volunteers will be required to wear a face covering in the interest of the safety for all participating. Thank you!
