We Mourn the Passing of our Beloved Parishioner and Longtime Ministry Center Volunteer Marie Kohler

On Saturday, May 9th, beloved parishioner and longtime Ministry Center volunteer Marie Kohler passed away at the age of 95. Marie was a bright light who could be found just about every weekday seated in the chairs at daily Mass. She was a prayer warrior, a faithful member of the daily Rosary group and a former CCW Woman of the Year.

Marie served regularly as a volunteer in the Ministry Center for over a decade. Throughout the years she worked in the front office, she cheerfully assisted with all of our parish mailings, answered phones and spread her love and joy to numerous visitors, many staff members and two pastors. She became a beloved adjunct member of our parish staff. In the picture above, she was celebrating her “retirement” at the age of 93.

Marie will be greatly missed by so many who came to know and love her. She had a gift of making every one of her friends feel as if they were her most favorite person in the world.  Marie leaves behind her son John, grandsons Jason (Marina), Adam, Ryan (Kelly), granddaughter Sarah, great granddaughter Sophia and friends as countless as the stars. The family plans to celebrate Marie’s life at a Memorial Mass when we may gather in church again.

Eternal rest grant unto Marie, O Lord. And let perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace. May her soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
