Happy Mother’s Day!

We would like to wish a Happy Mother’s Day to all women who have given us life and to all women of faith who have shared life-giving love with us! In a special way we also remember with gratitude our mothers who are deceased, whose legacy of love endures within us.

A Message from Fr. David Hankus

Dear Parishioners,

So many of us long for the opportunity to return to our churches and attend Mass in person. The Bishops of Illinois as well as the priests of the Joliet Diocese are working on how that can happen in the safest way possible. The rules and guidelines put forth for our state will certainly be followed and as soon as we are permitted and able to accommodate people safely we will do so.  Let us continue to pray and ask our Lord to guide us during these difficult times. Please also know that you are remembered in my daily Masses and prayers. May God bless us all!

Fr. David

Mass for the Fifth Sunday of Easter

This weekend’s Mass includes a Blessing for all Mothers, prayers for our deceased mothers and the liturgy concludes with May Crowning and special prayers to our Lord and Our Blessed Mother. All of the prayers and songs may be found in the Order of Service below.

Our Seven Super Sewers

Currently we have seven super sewers who generously continue to give of their time and talent to create fabric face masks. Since the State of Illinois will require us to wear masks when we are able to attend Mass in church again, we will provide a face mask to any parishioner without one until supplies run out.

We also are so grateful for the countless individuals who have donated supplies like fabric, elastic, thread and money to enable us to expand this project.

Materials are available for pickup in baskets outside the front door of the Ministry Center. We invite anyone who wants to be a part of the project to stop by and take some supplies to make masks. Finished masks may be left in the mail box at the Ministry Center.
