This morning, the Vatican announced that Pope Francis has accepted the resignation of Bishop R. Daniel Conlon, who has been on medical leave since December 27, 2019. Bishop Pates will remain our Apostolic Administrator until we are appointed a new bishop. Below you will find a statement by the Diocese of Joliet and one from Bishop Conlon.
