As all of us are adjusting our patterns and habits to be as safe as possible in midst of the pandemic, the Glen Ellyn Food Pantry wants to communicate some of the changes it has made and new needs due to the current situation.

Changes to Note for Clients

First, all clients of the pantry are urged to call ahead before visiting: 630.469.8668. The pantry staff and volunteers will be changing the way food is delivered. There will be a curbside delivery of your food instead of clients shopping for their own within the pantry.

Families and younger persons needed for stocking shelves

As many of our regular volunteers are seniors and are in self-isolation, we are asking younger people and families with children to consider giving some time to help stock our shelves. We will be at a minimum of people within the pantry at these times and are adhering to all hygienic suggestions. Please consider helping fill in while our regulars take extra caution.

donations are needed

This time of year we typically see a decline in donations to the pantry. And with many of our participating churches shutdown for the time being, we are asking you to consider making a donation.

Check the Glen Ellyn Food Pantry website: https://www.glenellynfoodpantry.org/ for the latest updates and information about when you can drop off non-perishable donations, or how you may make a financial contribution.
