The St. Vincent De Paul Society of St. James the Apostle Church is participating in an Ambassador Program that supports the SVDP Resale Shops.  Men, women and young adults who are at least 16 years of age or at least freshmen in high school and are members of our parish are encouraged to volunteer to be part of our team of Ambassadors. If you have a few hours once a month or more and are willing to assist with different tasks at the resale shop, you could be a perfect Ambassador.

Ambassadors meet as a team at the West Chicago Resale Shop on an agreed day and time and assist the store manager with sorting clothes, arranging racks, and other retail tasks (with the exception of handling money). Each person can stay for as long as they determine – hours are very flexible.

One benefit of being an Ambassador is seeing how the results of the SVDP Clothing Drive, held twice a year at St. James, directly impacts the needs of our parish and extended community.
