It has been two years of diaconate training and in depth theological study, and I’m halfway there. I want to thank you all for your prayers during these past two years. I have felt the Holy Spirit working in my studies to help me navigate 2000 years of Church and salvation history. Prayers work, they really do.
One thing I have learned in formation is our deacons do a great deal to foster our parish ministries. In that vein, my wife Dawn, and I have picked up the Marriage Preparation Ministry from Deacon Matt and Margo after their retirement and move last year. In addition, I have taken on the task of RCIA coordinator as Jennifer Andrews left to pursue a nursing career in Pennsylvania.
In addition, Dawn and I plan to continue our work coordinating our Annual Christmas Basket Program. We could not do any of this with out your help, support and prayers. And, we could always use some more help. If you are interested in becoming an RCIA Catechist, or Marriage Preparation support couple, feel free to call me at 803-325-4255 or e-mail me at Fitzy7176@gmail.com.
And, if you are interested in helping, or taking over the Christmas Basket Program, watch the bulletin for meeting announcements. Have a blessed week.
