If you are looking for a quick way to make a positive difference for your faith community, consider giving an hour or two of your time on a Sunday morning once a month to help serve coffee and donuts to your fellow parishioners. We are looking to gather together a core group of volunteers to help coordinate monthly Hospitality Sundays between September 2017 and May 2018.
One group of core volunteers is needed for setup before the 9 a.m. Mass and to serve after Mass; another group of core volunteers is needed to serve after the 11 a.m. Mass and to clean up when Hospitality is finished at around 12:30 p.m. The core group will provide assistance and direction to the volunteers from each month’s parish ministry who will be hosting the Hospitality Sunday. On call “substitutes” are also needed if a parish ministry is unable to provide the total number of volunteers needed in a particular month to staff the Hospitality.Volunteers are not required to serve every month, but as they are available.

“On the job training” will be provided by our fearless and seasoned leader, Joyce Carey, on Sunday, September 10th at the first Hospitality Sunday.
  • Show up in St. James Hall at 8:15 a.m. to learn the ropes for setup crew, then serve after the 9 a.m. Mass.
  • Show up at 10:30 a.m. to learn the ropes for the second shift and then serve after 11:00 a.m. and clean up.
  • Show up at either time to learn how you can become an “On Call Substitute”.
