We are honored to announce that our St. James Council of Catholic Women 2016 Woman of the year is Peggyann Pyle. Peggyann was honored on Saturday, April 16th at the Woman of the Year Mass and Reception at the Cathedral of St. Raymond in Joliet. Bishop Joseph L. Siegel officiated along with Fr. John Sebahar and other priests of the diocese. Members of Peggyann’s family, CCW members: Deb Drager, Carol Wright, Arlene Kelly and Hope Drager also attended.

Peggyann lives in Glen Ellyn and is a remarkable mother to seven children. She has a reverence for life and has assisted with Respect Life Ministry at our parish and our community for many years. Peggyann helps train our Parish altar servers and volunteers in parish ministries and community programs as needed, “doing small things with great love”, a version of the famous quote of Mother Teresa of Calcutta. It is not just what Peggyann does as who she is; a witness to her faith through her husband’s recent illness and passing to what a woman of faith should be. She continues to be a kind, joy-filled person, an example of a woman with a loving relationship with her Savior. St. James the Apostle Parish is blessed to have Peggyann as a member!
