St. James the Apostle Catholic Church warmly welcomes new members to the Catholic faith and tries to provide appropriate spiritual formation according to each person’s individual needs. In general, people becoming Catholic fall into three categories: infants and young children; young people and adults who, whether baptized or not, have had little or no catechesis (religious education) in the Catholic faith; and those who have been baptized into another Christian faith or have not been baptized.
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults at St. James focuses on people in the latter two groups while the Religious Education Program focuses on children’s catechetical and sacramental needs. RCIA includes three steps on the part of inquirers and four periods. There is no charge to participate in the RCIA program.
Jenn Andrews and a team of dedicated parishioners are waiting to partner with you on the journey of a lifetime. We begin our journey in September and conclude after Easter. We invite you to contact Jenn at the ministry Center for more information: (630)469-7540.
