Join us on this weekend as we kickoff our celebration of Catholic Schools Week. There will be guided tours conducted of the school after the 9 am Mass, from 10-11 a.m. on Sunday. Visit our school whether it is your first visit or you have been there many times. See where our students learn in a friendly and collaborative environment. We teach a robust curriculum that includes, faith formation daily, enriched curriculum in Math and integration of technology in all subjects. We also have no cut athletics starting in 5th grade and an arts program and many enrichment clubs and programs.
In addition all weekend long in St. James Hall our 7th grade students will have their Science Fair Projects on display. This is the first step in the Illinois Junior Academy of Science Fair. Students spend many hours delving into areas of their own special interests—giving them a chance to explore, gather information, arrive at conclusions and to present their ideas in a competitive forum. Projects are judged on their use of the scientific process, their written paper and the presentation of their project and conclusions. Come see our future scientists and their projects. Look for the first place winners who will advance on to regionals.
The 8th graders will also have their Academic Fair projects on display. These students research a topic of their choice, write a paper and make an oral presentation. This is an opportunity for our students to enhance these important educational skills that will be needed as they progress into high school and beyond.
We hope you will join us as we kick off our celebration of Catholic Schools Week 2017!
